Hello, I am Rina Alejandra Munguía Fonseca, a 2005 graduate of El Alba Bilingual School, where I started my educational journey since preschool. One of the greatest lessons I took away from there is that every academic effort has its reward in the future. I remember how, in every class, every subject, it seemed that everything had a purpose, even when I didn’t see it at the time. The professors who demanded the most from us are the ones I am really grateful for today, because they were the ones who prepared us for the challenges of university and professional life.

The moments I treasure the most are those lived in inter-school activities: the basketball championships, the Math Bowl, the Model of United Nations, among others. These experiences not only strengthened my skills, but also taught me the importance of teamwork and friendship. I fondly remember my classmates, many of whom are now fulfilled, with their families and undertaking projects.

One of the teachers who most influenced my professional decision was Mr. Harvey. His dedication and passion for teaching left a significant mark on my life. Motivated by this inspiration, I decided to study general medicine at the Catholic University, at the Sacred Heart campus in Tegucigalpa. Subsequently, I studied in Madrid, Spain, where I completed a master’s degree in advances in clinical practice. My training continued with a specialty in Radiology and Imaging at the Mariano Galvez University in Guatemala, and finally, I became an expert in musculoskeletal echography.

Every step of my career has been the result of hard work, dedication and tenacity. I remember the long nights of study and the sacrifices I made to reach my goals. Each of the institutions I attended taught me something valuable and brought me closer to my dreams.

Today, I am proud to be a radiologist at Policlínica Munguía’s imaging center, where I have worked hard to grow the family business in the imaging area with the best radiological equipment and an exceptional staff. My plans are to contribute to my community by helping people solve their health problems through proper diagnostics.

To the young people of today, I would tell them to look for the necessary tools to fulfill their dreams. Not everything works out the first time or the way you expect it to, but discipline and talent are the key to pursuing what you are truly passionate about. Never underestimate the power of effort; every step counts.

I hope my story inspires you to move forward on your own paths. The future is bright for those who are willing to fight for it!
