The first-grade classroom was filled with delicious aromas, vibrant colors, and lots of excitement during a very special activity: the presentation of traditional Honduran food. Each student had the opportunity to present a traditional dish, explain how it’s made, and share a bit about its origin.

With great enthusiasm and pride, the young presenters spoke in front of their classmates, teachers, and visitors. Some explained how to make a delicious baleada, others told the story behind tamales, catrachitas, enchiladas, and many other traditional dishes. It was an experience full of flavor, culture, and learning.
The most exciting part came after the presentations: the tasting! Everyone got to try the dishes the children had presented and enjoy the richness of our Honduran cuisine. Every bite was a reflection of the love and effort that students and their families put into this activity.

One of the most heartwarming parts of the event was seeing each child dressed in their traditional Honduran attire, which added even more color and meaning to the celebration. This activity not only allowed students to learn more about their culture, but also helped them overcome their fear of speaking in public, all in a fun, interactive, and delicious way.
Without a doubt, it was an educational and cultural day that will remain in the hearts of all who participated. Congratulations to the first-grade students for their wonderful work, and to the teachers for making this beautiful experience possible!
